I am sitting here this morning paying bills and ran accross a bill that was due for the local country club. I realized I had not used the country club but one time and had been paying them every month. I decided it was not something I needed and therefore was going to cancel. Easy right? No. If I cancel there is a penalty even though I don't use it. It made me think of why we have contracts. Business wants your money no matter what even if you don't use their service. I can understand contracts to do a job, while using a service, those are normal. But contract and NO REFUND polices when you don't use what they offer is nothing more than legal stealing. In my business if you don't want to use my service then just cancel. No hard feelings. GREED - one of the seven deadly sins.
